Component Reference

2 min read

A draft fixture exercising every in-body component, the cover image pipeline, and tag slugs that used to collide.

A flat gradient from madder red to warm paper, standing in for a real cover image

A deliberately boring post whose only job is to make sure nothing here rots. Every block below renders on each build, so a broken component becomes a build failure instead of something discovered months later in a real post.

Callouts

Code

Syntax highlighting happens at build time, with no JavaScript shipped:

export function slugify(input: string): string {
  // "C++" and "C" used to collapse to the same slug.
  return input.replace(/\+\+/g, '-plus-plus');
}

Inline code should sit in a hairline box without stray backticks around it.

A captioned figure

A flat madder-to-paper gradient

The cover image, reused here to keep the caption path exercised.

Two of the same image, which is enough to prove the grid and the object-fit cropping behave:

One image twice — the grid is what is under test.

Video

Nothing loads until the panel is clicked, and then only from the nocookie domain:

Replace the id with a real one when this pattern is used for real.

Ordinary prose furniture

A blockquote, because the typography plugin styles it and nobody would notice if that broke:

Quality is not an act, it is a habit.

  1. An ordered list
  2. with two items
  • and an unordered one
  • with two more
